Beekeeper Holding a Honeycomb

Tech-Enhanced Beehive

We set up a beehive with some cool tech tools to help me take care of my bees without bothering them. I use a Broodminder scale to track how much the hive weighs, which helps me see how much honey the bees are making and how active they are. I also added temperature and humidity sensors to make sure the inside of the hive stays just right for the bees to stay healthy.

There’s a bee counter that keeps track of how many bees go in and out each day, and I even use an acoustic sonar that listens for buzzing and vibrations. If something weird happens—like if the bees are about to swarm or if the hive is being disturbed—I’ll know right away.

All of this tech helps me keep an eye on the hive in a smart, non-invasive way. It gives me great info about how the bees are doing and how much honey they’re making, all without opening the hive too often.
